Some cracks in the walls are just too much to ignore… So I’ve widened this one a little to be able to fill it properly with a chemical mortar.

Meanwhile, our contractor has started replacing the window frames upstairs.

And his colleague is working on the new trusses for the roof.

And all that wood needs to be sanded before it can go in.

And, finally, the steel has arrived for the portal in the back of the house. Two beams: one (galvanized) to go on the foundation, the other to go at the first floor level.

And so, we’ve started preparing to take out the wall at the ground floor. That requires supporting the upper part first.
